About Us

Karenni Community UK

Karenni Community UK (KCUK) is a small community group representing the Karenni people in the UK.

We work directly with communities on the ground in Karenni State, this allows us to provide support effectively to areas that many larger organisations cannot reach due to the inaccessibility of the areas. Working with local groups also means we have very low administration costs and helps to empower communities to support local sustainable solutions.

Since the military coup in 2021 we have worked to provide crisis relief and support for people affected by the conflict, most seeking refuge in remote areas.

Since 2024 we are a registered charity in England and Wales (charity number 1209903)
