Bangkok IDP camp bombing

Bangkok IDP camp bombing

On September 5, 2024, the brutal military junta in Myanmar dropped two 500-pound bombs on the Bangkok IDP camp in Phegon Township, located on the Shan-Karenni State borders. This horrendous attack claimed the lives of at least 10 civilians, including school children and teachers, while leaving many others critically injured.

This horrific attack came just after a visit by junta leader Min Aung Hlaing to the nearby city of Loikaw.
