Continued airstikes on IDP camp  

In September we updated on the horrific military airstrike on the ‘Bangkok IDP Camp’ on the Shan-Karenni border.  In this attack on 5 September 11 people were killed including children and over 20 others were injured.

Sadly the military junta’s indiscriminate attacks on this camp continue. With the latest bombing on 18 November killing a woman and destroying 10 homes.

Over the last three months the military junta has carried out the the highest volume of airstrikes since the coup in February 2021.

Bangkok IDP camp is home to a large number of displaced people from Pekon Township who fled due to ongoing conflict.

Donations update

Shortly after the first bombings we supported the delivery of essential supplies to support 165 families from Bangkok IDP camp, this included oil, rice and other staple foods.
