Your donation to KCUK helps us to continue to support communities in Myanmar (Burma).

We are a registered charity working with local communities, providing humanitarian assistance at times of crisis and also assists local communities to promote positive change to tackle root causes and support development.

We work directly with local communities and grass root organisations to maximise our impact and ensure support goes directly to those communities who need it most.  

What is happening in Myanmar?

Conflict has left tens of thousands of families displaced and in desperate need of aid.

Decades of conflict have decimated public services particularly in ethnic border areas of the country. Since the military coup in 2021, the country has seen a huge increase in violence. Compounded with natural disasters such as Typhoon Yagi, families have been forced to flee their homes. They struggle to survive in makeshift camps with little access to food, water or sanitary products.

What we do

Our projects are mainly delivered in and around Karenni (Kayah) State, one of the poorest states in Myanmar that has been particularly affected by conflict, with over two thirds of the population displaced. This area is particularly isolated making it difficult for NGOs to provide aid. We work with local communities to be able to reach these areas and provide aid and support.

Flooding and conflict has caused a humanitarian crisis in Karenni. As one of the poorest and least accessible states in Myanmar this plight has received little International attention and far too little support reached these families in desperate need.

We are a small charity run by volunteers. We work to ensure that donation go directly to support projects. Even a small donation can make a real difference.
